Free single line diagram software for industrial power distribution
PowerTopology is a single line diagram editor you can use today without paying, signing up or installing anything. It runs in your browser, works offline, and keeps your drawings on your own device.
What you can do for free
- Draw by hand, start from one of ten worked examples, or import an Excel or CSV schedule.
- Levels and rows, busbars with tap-offs, transfer switches, UPS and battery systems, generators, E-houses and skids.
- Electrical checks on the model, and a source-loss study that shows what goes dead when each source is removed.
- Title block, revision register and A-series paper.
- Export to PDF, PNG, SVG, JSON and a project workbook.
- No limit on the number of items.
Private by design
Drawings are stored in your browser and are never uploaded. There is no analytics and no advertising. You can work on a site with no network connection after the first load.
What is planned
A paid Pro tier is in progress. It will add faster working tools such as energise and de-energise states, outage simulation, extra sources and colours, and continuous autosave. Cloud projects and team features are planned after that. Nothing you draw now depends on them.

What it is not
It is a drafting and checking tool for the connectivity of a distribution system. It is not a calculation package. It does not compute fault levels, voltage drop or protection coordination, and it is not an IEC symbol library.
Questions
Is it really free?
Yes. The studio is free to use today, with no account and no card. A paid Pro tier is planned, and it will be announced before it exists.
Do I have to install anything?
No. It runs in a modern browser and keeps working offline once loaded.
Who is it for?
Electrical engineers, designers and commissioning teams working on industrial plant, data halls, and commercial buildings.
